Workman’s Compensation

Clean Freaks is committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. In accordance with state law, Clean Freaks provides Workers’ Compensation Insurance to cover employees who experience a work-related injury or illness.

PURPOSE

The purpose of Workers’ Compensation is to provide medical treatment, wage replacement, and rehabilitation support for employees who are injured or become ill as a direct result of their job duties.

COVERAGE

All employees are covered by Workers’ Compensation Insurance from the first day of employment, regardless of full-time or part-time status. The coverage includes:

• Medical expenses related to the work injury or illness
• Partial wage replacement during medically approved recovery periods
• Rehabilitation services, if applicable

REPORTING REQUIREMENTS

To ensure proper handling of a workplace injury or illness, employees must follow these steps:

1. Immediately report any work-related injury or illness to a supervisor or manager, regardless of severity
2. Complete an Incident Report in the Connecteam App as soon as possible
3. Seek medical attention from a company-approved provider, unless emergency treatment is required
4. Submit all medical documentation to management for processing the Workers’ Compensation claim

Delays in reporting may result in complications or denial of benefits.

EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Always follow safety protocols and use provided PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Report unsafe conditions to management immediately
• Cooperate fully during the claims process and follow all medical instructions
• Maintain regular communication with management during your recovery period

RETURN TO WORK

Employees cleared by a medical professional to return to work must provide a written medical release before resuming duties. If restricted duty is recommended, Clean Freaks will make reasonable efforts to provide modified responsibilities as available.

Clean Freaks takes every precaution to prevent workplace injuries, but when they do occur, we are committed to ensuring our employees receive the support and care they need.

Unemployment insurance

Clean Freaks complies with all state and federal laws regarding Unemployment Insurance (UI). This benefit provides temporary financial assistance to eligible employees who become unemployed through no fault of their own and who meet the eligibility requirements set forth by the state.

WHAT IS UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE?

Unemployment Insurance is a government-sponsored program that provides temporary wage replacement to individuals who have lost their job or had their hours significantly reduced. The benefit is designed to support individuals while they actively seek new employment.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Eligibility for unemployment benefits is determined by the state’s unemployment office, not by Clean Freaks. However, general eligibility may include:

• Being laid off due to lack of work or other non-disciplinary reasons
• Actively seeking new employment
• Being available and able to work
• Meeting the minimum earnings and work history requirements as defined by the state

Employees who voluntarily quit, are terminated for misconduct, or who refuse suitable work may be denied benefits.

FILING A CLAIM 

To file a claim for unemployment insurance benefits, employees must:

1. Visit their state’s unemployment insurance website
2. Submit a claim with all required documentation
3. Report previous earnings and employment information
4. Continue to certify eligibility weekly, as required by the state

Clean Freaks will provide any necessary documentation or employment verification requested by the unemployment agency.

CLEAN FREAKS ROLE

Clean Freaks contributes to the state’s Unemployment Insurance fund on behalf of all employees. These contributions are not deducted from employee wages.

We are committed to assisting eligible former employees in accessing the benefits they may be entitled to, in accordance with the law.
