At Clean Freaks, we recognize that employment may end for various reasons, whether initiated by the employee (resignation) or the company (termination). This section outlines the expectations, procedures, and policies related to both voluntary and involuntary separation, including notice requirements, final pay, and return of company property. Our goal is to ensure that all transitions are handled professionally and respectfully.
RESIGNATION POLICY
Employees who choose to resign from their position at Clean Freaks are asked to provide at least two weeks’ notice prior to their final working day. This advance notice allows management to make appropriate scheduling adjustments and ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.
Due to the nature of our business, appointments are typically scheduled 1–2 weeks in advance. Therefore, Clean Freaks requires a minimum of five (5) business days’ notice for all resignations. While a two-week notice is preferred and appreciated, failure to provide at least five business days’ notice may negatively affect scheduling, team operations, and client satisfaction.
⚠️Upon resignation, employees must comply with the Company Property Policy, which requires the return of all Clean Freaks-issued property (including uniforms, equipment, and supplies) in clean and good condition by the designated return date.
TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT POLICY
Clean Freaks follows an at-will employment policy, which means that employment may be terminated at any time, with or without notice or cause, by either the employee or the company.
While Clean Freaks strives to use progressive discipline when appropriate, immediate discharge without prior warning may occur in situations involving misconduct, policy violations, or other serious infractions.
Recommendations or procedures outlined in any policy, manual, or publication do not constitute a contractual obligation and should not be interpreted as a limitation on the company’s right to terminate employment at-will.
No supervisor, manager, or company representative is authorized to alter the at-will employment relationship through verbal promises or informal agreements.
⚠️Upon termination, employees must comply with the Company Property Policy, which requires the return of all Clean Freaks-issued property (including uniforms, equipment, and supplies) in clean and good condition by the designated return date.
FINAL PAY CHECK
Upon separation from Clean Freaks—whether due to resignation, termination, or job abandonment—your final paycheck will be issued on the next regularly scheduled payday.
Final pay will be processed via direct deposit, unless otherwise required by state law, and will include payment for all hours worked up to the separation date. Final pay may be withheld until all company supplies and equipment are returned. Any applicable deductions for unreturned items or outstanding balances will be made in accordance with the law.
This policy ensures that employment transitions—voluntary or involuntary—are handled professionally and in a manner consistent with company standards.
