Dress code & appearance
All Clean Freaks Cleaning Technicians are required to wear the official company uniform while on duty. Maintaining a clean, professional appearance is essential to representing the Clean Freaks brand and ensuring customer confidence.
COMPANY-ISSUED UNIFORM ITEMS
The following items are provided by Clean Freaks and MUST be worn during each scheduled workday:
- 1 Clean Freaks uniform shirt for every scheduled workday within a typical week
- 1 half apron
- 1 pair of reusable rubber shoe covers
- 1 Clean Freaks hoodie for use in cooler weather or when appropriate
Replacement items due to loss or damage may be purchased through management.
EMPLOYEE -PROVIDED UNIFORM ITEM
Technicians must supply or purchase their own uniform pants, adhering to the following guidelines:
- Approved styles: Cargo or scrub-style pants
- Approved colors: Black, khaki, or navy blue
- Summer option: Knee-length shorts or capris in the approved colors
Unacceptable pants include:
- Leggings, biking shorts, or any form-fitting/tight clothing
- Sweatpants, joggers, or jeans (unless specifically approved)
- Ripped, distressed, or overly worn pants
Note: Clothing should fit modestly and professionally—no tight or revealing garments are permitted.
⚠️Compliance with the uniform policy is mandatory. Failure to wear the full, approved uniform may result in disciplinary action, including being sent home immediately without pay.
UNIFORM DETAILS
Clean Freaks Uniform Shirt:
- Must be tucked in neatly
- Must be clean and free of wrinkles
- Technicians receive three (3) shirts per year at no charge after completing the 90-day probationary period
- Additional or replacement shirts must be purchased-please consult management for cost
- If a shirt becomes damaged or worn, it must be replaced at the employee’s expense
Footwear:
- Must wear non-slip gym shoes or work boots
- Shoes must have rubber soles for safety and grip
Pants & Belts:
- Must wear approved scrub or cargo-style pants in navy blue, black, or khaki
- Pants must be clean, wrinkle-free, and worn with a solid black or brown belt
- Tight-fitting clothing (e.g., leggings or biking shorts) is strictly prohibited and may result in being sent home without pay
Knee Pads:
- One pair of knee pads is provided by management
- Knee pads are highly recommended to protect your knees and preserve your pants
- Without knee pads, pants are more likely to wear out at the knees; employees may be required to replace them if they appear overly worn or unprofessional
PROHIBITED ATTIRE & ACCESSORIES
Employees who arrive in violation of the uniform policy will be sent home immediately and may be subject to disciplinary action. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Sweatpants, joggers, leggings, biking shorts, ripped jeans, or excessively tight clothing
- Excessive or unsafe jewelry (only plain wedding bands and small stud or hoop earrings are permitted)
- Hanging bracelets, large rings, oversized earrings, or accessories that could pose a safety risk
APPEARANCE AND GROOMING STANDARDS
Hair:
- Hair must be neatly pulled back and away from the face
- Must be clean, combed, and well-groomed
- This includes facial hair such as mustaches, sideburns, and beards, which must be trimmed and tidy
- Shaggy or unkempt hairstyles are not permitted
Personal Hygiene:
- All employees are expected to practice good personal hygiene
- Body odor, dirty uniforms, or poor grooming will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action
